La Malinche in Calvert City

Breakfast was just gross even pancakes flies everywhere on my table. I asked for simple huevos rancheros instead of that they were cover with gross nachos sauce we just left all food. This restaurant used to be go quality food. Clean!!!

Food was great, customer service was excellent. One of my favorite places to have the huevos rancheros.

My favorite place to go for real mexican food. Always tastes great. Staff is very friendly. Would have given 5 stars but some of our table had to wait longer to get there meals while others were already served.

Every Malinche has great food but just left the Sunland park restaurant an the waitress told me no more Chuleta a la mexicana, it was 11:30 lunch starts at 11 their were 20 people I counted an most were eating breakfast but other than that food was great

Awful service, no one helpful since we entered the building, one high chair available for the entire restaurant, I needed two, sat for 10 minutes until finally someone came to our table, despite the fact the servers spent the time somewhere else but attending tables, one waitress spent the time sitting down with some regular costumers I assume, .Good flavor on my entree but bad experience overall, would I recommend?Nooo

Good food, reasonable prices but slow service. Difficult to get refills, only 1 refill on coffee, per management.

The Mexican omelet and the refried beans were delicious - I loved them! They have very friendly breakfast service and the coffee is always hot and tastes great.

What can I say. I visit La Malinche every Sunday and love their food. I always see the same friendly faces and it just feels like home. Give them a try if you are in the mood for some good Mexican food.

I usually enjoy La Malinche. It was not bad. But we had two small roaches crawling on table I did let owner know. You could smell the bug spray and you could see bug powder under table. I hope they take care of the problem.

prices went up last year but food quality didn't. still a good place to go for coffee.

Very reliable machaca and a very unusual huevos rancheros are the mainstays here. The huevos rancheros are smothered in a slightly spicy cheese sauce instead of a tomatoe sauce as one expects, but it is great eating. The machaca plate is tender shredded meat enveloped in a flavorful egg mixture and starts the day off well. Lunch menu has an excellent caldo (meat and vegetable stew) that is a must get!

Clean and quiet. Food was hot and fresh, came out quickly. Large portions. Nice staff with fast service!

Wast of time. 3 times ive gone. Saturday and sunday at 11.20 am. And theres no more menudo !!!! Bad management

Coffee 1st cup good second cup had a piece if paper from a pkg sweetener asked waiter for another cup of coffee and when he brought coffee not as hot and water down don't think will be going back

Bad service, bad food. Staff dosen't speak English almost had an allergic reaction to the food because they cook w lard. Place doesn't even deserve a star but I had to put some thing or it would not post.

Stopped by at the location on a Saturday morning around 10am and the location was pretty dead. As we walked in lady at the front/ register was putting on her makeup and didn't acknowledge us. A few minutes later, a server asked us to seat ourselves. As we sat down our server attended us getting our drinks and providing us with menus. When we tasted our coffees they were watered down. We asked for a fresh cup and got a new cup from the same brewed pot. We ordered the Steak Ranchero and eggs which. Our server was behind refilling or glasses of water since our coffees were nothing closed to fresh brewed coffee. Our table came out to $35 for 2 of us. To high of a price for what we got.

It must have been pretty good? I was here about 14 years ago and it's still good.

Easy settling place for a meal. Great taste, mexican traditional menu. Close to groceries, Casino and highway access.

Our server took our order, brought our order, then brought our check. No small talk, no "is everything okay with your meal?". No "Would you like a refill?" As a matter of fact, I had to flag down another passing "server" to ask for refills. The staff was very stoic and did not interact with their tables at all. I've seen more interaction at a late-night taco truck. The food was decent; nothing to write home about. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Horrible service today. Waited for 15min till I had to get up and ask the inconsiderate lady owner at the register to have someone go by our table.. owner was so inconsiderate that not even an apology when I paid. Never again. Dont go there.
